Qur'an Gate is located in northeast of Shiraz near Allah-o Akbar Gorge, between Chehel Magham and Baba Koohi Mountains. In fact, it is on the way of Shiraz to Marv Dasht.
Fars province is in the south of the country, and its administrative center is Shiraz. The etymology of the word "Persian", is derived from the historical importance of this region.
