About Ghalamzani
Ghalamzani is one of Persian handicrafts (Iranian handicrafts). Ghalamzani is the art of engraving figures on metal objects especially on gold, silver, brass or copper. Since the first millennium B.C., Ghalamzani has had a special splendor and credit, and valuable Ghalamzani works have been left behind in a legacy from various historical periods. There are two main styles of Ghalamzani: Tabriz style and Isfahan style. In the Tabriz style, the chisel is worked with the pressure and movement of the wrist, while in the Isfahan style it is struck with a hammer. Some of the products are: various kinds of dishes especially plates, bowls, carafes, picture frames, tableaus, trays, samovars, tea sets, sculptures, caskets, sugar bowls and jewelry.
