Boasting especially potent jewel-tone colors and a petit point all-over pattern, this palace-size Heriz is a stately traditional Persian rug that would be perfect in a formal and contemporary setting. Its painstakingly rendered lattice design incorporates ancient split palmette motifs as well as the cloudband devices inspired by Chinese aesthetics, bringing a subtle, fluid delicacy to the fascinating all-over design. Extremely fine knotting allows for an extreme level of nuance in the artist's elaboration of these details. A regal, yet welcoming, oversize Bijar (Bidjar) antique Persian carpet with extraordinary craftsmanship, vibrant blues and very intricate, chiseled designs. Its ivory ground is prized and rare, especially in a carpet of great size. At over 135 years old, this oriental carpet is still in excellent condition. The characteristic feature of Bijar carpet is the dense structure of these carpets.Their texture is such that they cannot be folded. In the early stages of the carpet trade, such carpets were called "lol". This word indicates the excessive strength of Bijar carpets.To produce this carpet, which is as strong as a board, a very thick fabric is inserted into the carpet fabric in addition to one or two thin fabrics.This operation is repeated alternately on the fabric of the carpet. As the carpet knots are pounded by the iron shoulder, the texture of the carpet becomes much stronger. The role of carpets in this area mostly includes regular designs, and compared to its rural type, it has softer lines and more natural motifs.In these designs, classical persian motifs are enlarged and seen alongside maps influenced by rural and tribal models.These rugs, which have a special charm and attraction, have a delicate texture and the originality and simplicity of their design and color are evident.

With its cheerful field design of elongated flowers arranged around a central blossom, it is greatly enhanced by an extremely rich color palette. The brilliant blues along with burnished gold, bronze, celadon, and soft rose seem particularly luminous set against the deepest midnight blue background. A wonderful casual ambiance emanates from this wholly charming Hamadan village carpet. Filled with graphic energy, it borrows its spaciously overscale floral medley from the neighboring Sultanabad tradition, naïvely rendered in this seldom-found small room size format. Conveying an abundant garden in bloom, the harmoniously proportioned use of space is simultaneously capturing a sense of expansiveness where the blossoms are truncated on all sides, as if the pattern stretches into infinity. The glowing rust-toned ground presents beautiful striation of tonalities from deeply saturated notes of cinnabar to persimmon while scintillating shades of blue shift from sky to a richly-hued, glowing azure as the eye moves down from the top. Intriguing, spontaneous abrash streaks near the bottom reveal deep walnut brown borders and darkly outlined floral forms are visually amplified.

Bijar is known as the iron carpet! Late 19th Century 13' 2" x 18' 5"401cm x 561cm,, A regal, yet welcoming, oversize Bijar (Bidjar) antique Persian carpet with extraordinary craftsmanship, vibrant blues and very intricate, chiseled designs. Its ivory ground is prized and rare, especially in a carpet of great size. At over 120 years old, this oriental carpet is still in excellent condition. The characteristic feature of Bijar carpet is the dense structure of these carpets.Their texture is such that they cannot be folded. In the early stages of the carpet trade, such carpets were called "lol". This word indicates the excessive strength of Bijar carpets.To produce this carpet, which is as strong as a board, a very thick fabric is inserted into the carpet fabric in addition to one or two thin fabrics.This operation is repeated alternately on the fabric of the carpet. As the carpet knots are pounded by the iron shoulder, the texture of the carpet becomes much stronger. The role of carpets in this area mostly includes regular designs, and compared to its rural type, it has softer lines and more natural motifs.In these designs, classical Iranian motifs are enlarged and seen alongside maps influenced by rural and tribal models.These rugs, which have a special charm and attraction, have a delicate texture and the originality and simplicity of their design and color are evident.

Best of the Best 15' 9" x 11' 1" 517cm x 361cm collection purchased at in 8 January 2014 On a grand scale and in unfathomable heavy pile condition at nearly 135 years of age, this absolutely exquisite, incredibly finely knotted oversize carpet is the creation of the workshops of the renowned master designer, Hadji Jallili (Haji Jalili). A majestic, perfectly balanced series of concentric medallions radiates outward, filling its great expanse with a graceful sensibility of line and delicately nuanced hues. Close inspection reveals sumptuous tones of powder blue, peach, tangerine, jade, celadon, and many other sublime colors. While well-maintained, top-tier room-size antique Hadji Jallili Tabriz carpets have become incredibly difficult to find, wonderfully preserved, masterwork caliber oversize examples such as this are infinitely rarer.
