Half Moon Bay has been blessed with some gorgeous fall weather the past few days. Trying to savor it before the predicted El Niño descends upon us this winter. Rug No. 165270 Vintage Persian Heriz rug in a nice small squarish size. The main ground is tomato red with border and medallion in navy-indigo blue. Accents in cream, gold, aqua, sky blue, salmon, medium blue, and coral. Size: 5’2”x6’0” Age: 1940-1950 Origin: Heriz, Northwest Persia Materials: Hand knotted hand spun wool pile on cotton foundation. Condition: Good condition overall with mostly low pile and a few areas showing wear. As with most hand knotted rugs, it is not a perfect rectangle. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use.
