(High-Collectible) This unusually long, virtuoso carpet signed by the noted workshop "Khasati Brothers" is a magnificently preserved specimen of the best 19th century Court carpet weaving. Meant to be a consummate floor covering for an important room, it was created to provide the ambiance of understated luxury for its discerning patron. The fascinating, engaging design presents a multiple medallion pattern on a mindbogglingly dense blanket of small blossoms. This multiple medallion format consists in alternating rows of cream and midnight indigo medallions that further alternate between two shapes, creating a magnificent dance between them.
