Large antique Persian Tabriz rug with a resplendent paradise garden design in a dreamscape display of lustrous naturally dyed colors. A rare yellow gold background sets a rich stage for this whimsical wilderness of colorful flora and fauna. Colors include the peachy coral border, aqua, sky blue, navy blue, forest green, seafoam, chestnut, fawn, tan, and cream. Size: 10’10”x16’10” Age: Woven in date of 1926 (1344 hijri) Origin: Northwest Persia Materials: Hand knotted hand spun wool pile on a cotton foundation. Natural dyes. Condition: Good condition overall with lustrous low pile over most of the rug and a few areas showing wear. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use.
