An astonishing center axis is created by an extremely seldom-seen suite of three inventive overscale split palmettes. A showpiece of adroit vegetable dyeing, here a number of exotic hues adorn the cobalt blue field, including celadon, jade green, taupe, olive, fern, and burnt copper. The center split palmette motif features a wholly unique and salient abrash (artistic color striation) that unifies many of the hues found throughout this majestic rug that has been lovingly preserved in superb condition.⁠
