Inimitably crafted revealing an unfathomable attention to detail, the composition is entirely devoted to an inconceivably petite point pattern. Here a repeating "Herati" latticework of minuscule blossoms and curling leaves create a sublime sense of visual movement and depth. A surprisingly slender naturally dyed celadon border quietly frames the composition and gives deference to the virtuosity that lies within it. Stunning on the wall, this greater than 150-year-old Oriental carpet remains very well preserved and could also be greatly enjoyed on the floor.
