This Persian rug is in the categories of Persian Rug (Persian Carpet), Tehran Persian Rug (Tehran Persian Carpet) and Antique Persian Rug (Antique Persian Carpet), and it has been introduced and provided by Hadi Maktabi Gallery. In my private collection, a most royal Qajar Tehran circa 1870 with royal crown and an excessively rich flowering vase design. It makes the Millefleurs look simple by comparison. Very subtle and elegantly saturated natural dyes, composed of tones very tastefully set off against one another. I love the signature Tehran prayer rug spandrels in deep golden saffron. Perfect condition right down to the end kilim and full pile. This masterpiece has been lovingly preserved by a series of collectors over 150 years and has never been used.
