This Persian rug is in the categories of Persian Rug (Persian Carpet), Kashan Persian Rug (Kashan Persian Carpet) and Antique Persian Rug (Antique Persian Carpet), and it has been introduced and provided by Hadi Maktabi Gallery. Visually speaking, this really ought to be a Tehran but in fact it is an early Kashan from the Dabir generation. The all over Shah Abbas field of lotus flowers, palmettes, and arabesques is populated with lions, dragons and other mythical creatures--exactly what you would find on Tehran rugs. This makes it quite a unique find for a Kashan, especially with its cream field. 440 x 313 Circa 1920
