The tripartite radial medallion features a scintillating sky blue framed by ruby at its center, surrounded by painstaking scrollwork on an ivory background. A series of attached palmettes extend the center of gravity further, reaching toward the corner spandrels, which themselves are made of partially revealed medallion assemblages. The intricate, beautifully articulated field and border suite patterning present a rapturous order.
