Famed for their earthy often geometric themes, this improvisational, heartfelt piece was crafted in one of the small tribal encampments in the mountainous hinterland of the Persian Northwest. Apparently influenced by camelhair weavings from Serab, this piece offers a charmingly naive rendering of conjoined hexagonal medallions of disintegrating rosettes and eccentric tetrads of poppy flowers.
