The interior of the medallion and surrounding ground are adorned with an incredibly intricate rendition of the classic Herati pattern, an allover design of a diamond latticework adorned with rosettes. Glimpses of unique "Guli Farang" or foreign flower motifs on a striking butter-yellow base act as counterpoints to the interior.
