But it sold earlier this week so it deserves a hearty round of applause and the chance to have its full visage unmasked and its full beauty revealed. Why is it one of the best? The age The rare size The mint condition The quality of weave The sublime drawing The stunning natural dyes It’s so perfectly balanced in its attractive motifs and its sweet tones. And it’s so perfectly preserved after almost 150 years, right down to the intact original ends and full pile. Congrats to my amigo the happy new owner! I expect beautiful photos soon.
