About Gheshlagh Bridge
Gheshlagh Bridge is located in the east of Sanandaj, in the road of Sanandaj to Hamedan, on the Gheshlagh River. This bridge belongs to Safavid and Zand Era which has been reconstructed and repaired in later periods especially Qajar Era. Gheshlagh Bridge is about 78 meters long and 3 meters wide with 6 spans. The main structure of this bridge is made of brick and its floor is paved. The columns of this bridge are formed as triangles on two sides. In terms of strength, Gheshlagh Bridge is a good bridge-building sample in Safavid Era.
