About Constitution House
Constitution House or Constitution Museum is located in one of the historic houses of Tabriz in Rasteh Koocheh neighborhood, on the west of Bazaar of Tabriz. This is a two-story building with inside and outside sections which are constructed with the architectural style of Qajar Period. At the time of the Constitutional Revolution, this house was offered to constitutionalists by Haj Mahdi, one of the merchants of Bazaar of Tabriz to hold the meetings of heads of constitution as well as to print and distribute anti-Qajar declarations. Of the most important relics of this museum are Sattar Khan's pistol, the constitution carpet, personal stuff of heads of constitution, seals of revolutionary groups as well as other objects and documents related to Constitutional Revolution. Of other relics available at this museum are statues of Hossein Khan Baghban, Akhund-e Khorasani, Ali Akbar Dehkhoda, as well as Zainab Pasha. Constitution House has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
