About Mahdi Gholi Beyk Bathhouse
Mahdi Gholi Beyk Bathhouse belongs to Safavid Era and it is located at the beginning of the Grand Bazaar in Mashhad. This bathhouse includes various spaces the largest and most beautiful of which is the changing room of the bathhouse with eight columns adorned with paintings. Currently, Mahdi Gholi Beyk Bathhouse is being used as the Anthropology Museum. In this museum, objects including bathhouse accessories, bathing equipment, cosmetics, lighting equipment, various types of samovars, teapots, coffee makers, goblets, various dresses and local costumes, types of utensils, all kinds of textiles, as well as zoorkhaneh equipment are exhibited for the public. In addition, some works like old pictures of Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS), old pictures of traditional careers and people's daily life in addition to coffee house paintings are exhibited. Mahdi Gholi Beyk Bathhouse has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
