Abidar Mountain Park is located in the west of Sanandaj, in the middle of Abidar Mountain. Abidar Mountain is one of the recreation centers of people in Sanandaj that overlooks this city. The popularity of this mountain is its being close to the city and its abundant springs. Abidar Mountain is composed of two mountains, i.e. large Abidar and small Abidar. Above the flat summit of small Abidar, a shelter has been constructed to be used by climbers. It is worth mentioning that the largest open-air cinema of the world with a seating capacity of 10,000 people is located in Abidar Mountain Park.
