With an area of 72 hectares, Mellat Park is one of the oldest, largest and most spectacular parks of Mashhad and Iran which is located in the west of Mashhad, in Vakil Abad Highway. In the center of this park, there is Imam Reza (AS) Cultural-Arts Complex including a mosque, library and cultural and art classes. In the east side of the park, there is a lake. In the west side, there are sport fields including the largest open pool of Mashhad, a soccer field, volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court and ski resort. In addition, there is a special field for running and doing exercises. The Rose Garden is an enclosed women-only space inside the park with sports facilities and equipment. In addition, inside Mellat Park, there is Mellat Amusement Park, which is the first amusement park in Mashhad.
