Shesh Badgir Cistern (Cistern with Six Windcatchers) belongs to contemporary period and is located in Yazd, on Tappeh Yazd neighborhood. This cistern has two entrances, six windcatchers and a large reservoir with a capacity of 2000m3. First, three windcatchers had been built and then three more ones were added to them. Paying a little attention to the form of windcatchers, the difference between old and new windcatchers can be realized. All six windcatchers of this cistern are octagonal considering climatic conditions and wind direction in this area. Shesh Badgir Cistern has an oval dome. This cistern has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
