Zoroastrian Crypt is located in 15 kilometers on the southeast of Yazd, around Safaiyeh District on a low hill called Dakhme Mount. This work is also known as Borj-e Sokoot (Tower of Silence). This crypt had been used for burying corpses. In the distant past, people put corpses on the tower to be eaten by birds and then they threw their bones in a well. This had been done to prevent soil from being polluted.
