Ziaeieh School is a school with a history of 8 centuries is located in Fahadan neighborhoods of Yazd. This school is also known as Alexander Prison. It has been founded in 631 AH by a famous mystic called Zia-od-Din Hossein Razi and it has been completed in 705 AH by his sons, Majd-od-Din Hassan and Sharaf-od-Din Ali. Dome height reaches 18 meters with beautiful moldings and ornamentation in gold and azure most of which has been demolished. There are some tales on this building that say its construction dates back to the time of Alexander the Macedonian attack to Iran and state that at that time, this building has been used as a prison and later it is repurposed and used as a school.
