Ansari House is among old houses of Urmia that belongs to late Qajar Period according to the shape of building and cornices available in the tileworks of the house. It first belonged to Babak Ja'fari and after his death it was inherited by Seyfollah Khan Ansari and therefore it became known as Ansari House. Materials used in its construction are stone, brick, adobe, clay wall, wooden roof top, plaster and plank.
