Mortaz House belongs to Qajar Period and it is located on Iranshahr Street in Yazd. This house is composed of two sections each one with a separate courtyard and entrance. However, these two sections are connected in a subtle form. You can reach the main courtyard by passing the entrance, beautiful vestibule and the hallway. The main courtyard is more elaborated the main element of which is a porch that manifests itself more than other elements of the courtyard with its windcatcher. This house has been donated by the Mortaz family to the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in Yazd University in 1995. It has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
